Proper hydration is an extremely important, and sometimes overlooked, component of your pet's overall health.  Small animals should have access to fresh drinking water at all times. Ideally, offer water from two sources (a bottle and non-tip bowl/crock) in any environment/room in which your pet is allowed. Pet parents can also support proper hydration by offering a daily assortment of species-appropriate fresh greens and veggies, all of which have naturally high water content. 

Small animals are unlikely to over-consume water, but if you are concerned that your pet is showing signs of excessive thirst, we recommend contacting a trusted veterinarian right away.
